This species is easy to rear. Eggs that are fertile will get the black
dot. Caterpillars are white, and very beautiful. In the beginning they
eat in groups, and go, like most Automeris species, solitaire in later
instars. Pairing is easy, in the night. Overwintering is easy in a
refrigerator at 7-10°C in a closed container.
