June - July
Easy. Daytime, best in small rearing cage outside.
Should be easy to rear, no special treatment. Caterpillars are very
gregarious. They pupate into the ground, and will overwinter there.
Pupa can be overwintered in the refrigerator in an airtight box. After
pairing, it is best to put a branch of Oak in the cage so the female
can lay her eggs easier on the backside of the leaves. Eggs are first
yellow, and when fertile, got more red.
Anisota species can be a pest! So never release them in Wild!
